Police Narrative - "On 04/01/2024 at approximately 2328 hours, I was dispatched to University of Cincinnati Campus Recreational Center Hall room 3312, for Ms. Pridemore, stating that her roommate, Ms. Ashley, had been smoking marijuana in their dorm room. Upon arrival, Officer Walker, Officer Panezott, and I smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the hall and dorm room. Ms. Pridemore stated this has been an ongoing problem since Ms. Ashley had moved into their room in February. Ms. Pridemore stated that she has spoken with Resident Advisors multiple times about Ms. Ashley repeatedly smoking in their dorm, as well as having other non UC students smoke marijuana with her. Ms. Pridemore showed officers and I pictures of the smoke detectors being covered with plastic bags. Ms. Pridemore stated that previously, Ms. Ashley had also stole her vyvanse medication when she was not present (Report #202400144). When Ms. Ashley returned to the room, after speaking with her she stated that she and her friend Mr. Khamisi, just possessed marijuana and it had not been smoked. Ms. Ashley was advised of UC policy pertaining to marijuana on campus and that covering smoke detectors is Criminal Mischief. Ms. Ashley then left the room for the night."
