Heatwaves, hay, and hiccups sheep farming!
We’re "Just Fed Up" on today’s episode of our daily sheep farming vlog here at Ewetopia Farms. This video spans several days of trying to keep things running smoothly in the face of yet another relentless heat wave. The intense heat and humidity made work in the barns and fields extremely difficult for both us and our flock. With soaring temperatures, the sheep refused to go outside to graze and struggled to breathe in the heavy air.

Adding to our frustrations, our sheep shearer canceled—again—delaying much-needed relief for our wool-covered sheep. And just when we managed to cut and rake another field for dry hay, a sudden rain hit us minutes later, undoing all that hard work.

But it wasn’t all setbacks! Amidst the heat and challenges, we had some heartwarming and productive moments. Viewers will enjoy a sweet interaction with our Dorset ram Kash, who never says no to hugs! We also introduce some new tools on the farm, including handy forklifts to help move feed more efficiently. And, with a bit of welding, we were able to repair a few feeders, keeping things moving forward.
