How To Get Rid Of Blowback On The CVA Paramount

Getting blowback? One of the big reasons for this is an over-tightened breech plug. To fix, just don’t use the leverage bar in your breech plug removal tool when installing the breech plug after cleaning. The leverage bar is specifically used for loosening a stuck breech plug. To install properly, simply finger tighten the breech plug back into the rifle and install the bolt as you normally would.

Another reason for blowback could be a worn out bolt spring. If you’re still having problems with blowback after adjusting the breech plug, just call customer service and we’ll send you a new spring at no charge.
