I found this piece while looking for a piano trio that would be suitable for our daughters, since this was their first time playing with these three instruments in trio.

In some beginner piano trios, the piano part is much more advanced than the string parts, as if written for a teacher to accompany their string students. That is still somewhat true of this piece, but our middle daughter rose to the challenge at the piano, our youngest was suitably stretched on the violin, and our oldest supported her sisters well with her superior skills on the cello.

Most importantly, this is truly lovely and invigorating music that is fun to play and brings joy to the listener.
