I nearly got robbed in Addis Ababa

Bole is generally considered a nicer area in the city with shops, bars, nightclubs and restaurants. I am careful to not go out late, stay in well lit areas on main roads and not travel down any side streets at night.

This is a very important reminder that this can still happen to you at anytime so stay vigilant and be careful!

I typically post about the positives of travel, but negative things like this can happen especially when you don’t expect it.

I am fortunate to get the reminder of this without losing my phone, but it is a very important reminder.
