You are not here to be happy

Your purpose is NOT being happy. You’re here on this earth for an entirely different reason, a more selfless reason. You are not here to be happy!

Of course, many people will center their entire lives around optimizing happiness but without Jesus they will never truly be happy. Their version of happiness will always be superficial or selfish, in a way. True joy comes from Jesus.

We aren’t meant to be happy all the time either. Even with the joy of Jesus, it’s okay to feel sad sometimes. When our purpose isn’t about being happy, we can feel sad and still feel worthy and like we’re living a purposeful life.
