First off, I am FULLY aware that some of the lyrics aren't up to date. For one, there are far more than 6 billion people in the world - hence the little wink and over-the-top gesture.

I could have changed the lyrics to reflect the world's current population, but then would have had to change the eponymous lyrics. How many bicycles are in Beijing right now? Who knows! I have taken the very liberal and poetic liberty of including a simple equation for that below:

Population of Beijing in 2005 (when the song was written): 14.9 million
Supposed amount of bicycles in Beijing in 2005: 9 million

THEREFORE

Population of Beijing in 2025: 22.5 million
Theoretical amount of bicycles in Beijing in 2025: 13.6 million

Again, VERY loose transposition of statistics without taking into consideration multiple socio-economical factors. If you have a better answer for me, I'd like to hear it!

Sidenote: Playing the whistle whilst moving on a bicycle is actually a lot harder than you think!! Not only do you have to control your breathing while pedaling a bike, but the crosswinds make it so that can miss notes very randomly!! Thankfully my years as a woodwind player has given me superhuman breath control haha!!! Thanks to all my music teachers over the years :)

Premièrement, je suis TRÈS conscient du fait que cette chanson a plusieurs paroles qui ne sont pas à jour. Genre, il y a plus que 6 milliards de personnes sur la terre - j'en fais un véritable clin d'oeil dans la vidéo.

J'aurais pû changé les paroles pour refléter la population actuelle, mais j'aurais dû changer les paroles éponymes également. Comment de bicyclettes à Beijing en ce moment? Aucune idée!! J'ai pris la TRÈS GRANDE liberté d'inclure une équation extrêmement sommaire pour possiblement arriver à une réponse:

Population à Beijing en 2005 (quand la chanson fut écrite): 14.9 millions
Montant supposé de bicyclettes à Beijing en 2005: 9 millions

DONC:

Population à Beijing en 2025: 22.5 millions
Montant théorique de bicyclettes à Beijing in 2025: 13.6 millions

Rappel que c'est une extrapolation très aléatoire, sans prendre en considération multiples facteurs socio-économiques. Si vous avez une meilleure réponse pour moi, écrivez-moi ça dans les commentaires!

À noter: Jouer de la flûte en pédalant sur un vélo s'avère plus difficile qu'on le pense!! Non seulement il faut vraiment contrôler notre respiration mais le vent fait en sorte qu'on peut rater des notes plus facilement!! Le résultat que vous voyez à pris environ 30 minutes à capter! Je remercie tous les enseignant(e)s qui m'ont instruit au fil des années, me donnant des capacités pulmonaires et respiratoires surhumaines!!
