TR7 Headlamp Panel Remanufacture News Dec 2020

The TR Drivers Club and the TR Spares Development Fund joined together to fund this project to remanufacture the TR7/8 headlamp panel (WKC4077) following the scandal a few years ago when we learned that British Motor Heritage (BMH) had scrapped all the TR7 press tools. We have had ten panels produced and if this project is successful then our partners Ex-Pressed Steel Panels Ltd. have said they will put the panel back into production. At that point we can move onto the next project to ensure all the no longer available TR7/8 body panels are reproduced. If this first venture is not a success then the project ends here.

Right now the TR Drivers Club are talking to Ex-Pressed Steel Panels about the next project which looks to be the offside (driver's side for RHD cars) door skin. We are also looking into the lower frame repair section which has not been available for many years with the correct drain hole pattern.
