Ex-con Jake Bishop is several years past his second stint in prison and has completely reformed. He’s married, expecting a child, and preparing to open his own hair salon. Author Les Edgerton is an ex-con who spent two years and change in prison on a 2-5 year sentence for burglary at the Pendleton Reformatory in Indiana, dubbed by then-President Lyndon Johnson as “the single worst prison in the U.S.” Since his release, he has earned a B.A. from Indiana University and a MFA in Writing from Vermont College. His career for many years as an outlaw and criminal lend an air of rare verisimilitude to his crime novels.

Ray Robinson adapted his novel into a screenplay, and while the COVID-19 virus is still prevalent and preventing large gatherings, he thought it would be a great time to perform the production online to share with others riding it out at home. With Les' approval, he gathered some of Louisville, Kentucky's finest actors to read various roles.

Starring Christopher Smith, Julie Streble, JP Lebangood, Daniel Smith, Gregory Levrault, Floren Kyteler, Victoria Elisabeth, and Ray as the narrator, enjoy this two-hour modern noir thriller, plus a 30-minute conversation with the cast and Les himself!
