Nest Doorbell Battery Replacement: A Complex but Successful Repair

While replacement batteries are cheap and readily available on Amazon, the real challenge lies in the disassembly process.

The doorbell’s components are glued together, making the repair a real nightmare. I’ll show you how much cutting and careful work was needed to open it up. To add to the complexity, I discovered that the design had been modified—the original battery’s temperature sensor was glued directly to the battery, not the PCB. I decided to cut the sensor wires, and to my surprise, everything worked perfectly after reassembly!
