Delays likely in Kouri Richins murder case after defense attorney granted removal

The children's book author accused of killing her husband with fentanyl is in need of a new attorney after the firm representing Kouri Richins asked to be removed.

A judge granted that request Monday.

The next time she goes to court, Richins is still entitled to representation — however, this will delay the case as a new attorney gets caught up to speed.
