NPC Advantages: no requirements. gardevoir (life dew), burners (drifblim, arcanine), and paralyzers (bellibolt, umbreon, and dudunsparce) help. sylveon (charm) and intimidators (tauros, staraptor) can help but the significance varies depending on sceptile's dragon dance usage which is inconsistent.

Strategy: wait for your stats to reset before taking your first turn. 3x iron defense, heal cheer whenever HP gets low (but don't use more than 2), 6x calm mind, 3x acid spray, attack cheer, terastalize, KO with a single stored power.

Notes: armarouge's base fire typing protects prevents killer critical hits from leaf blade. the idea with this build is to set up to be able to KO on the same turn that armarouge terastalizes, so that sceptile never has a chance to hit with a neutral leaf blade. I didn't run damage calcs, so it's possible that the twisted spoon is totally unnecessary, in which case it may be preferable to use an iapapa berry for healing.

Pros: incredible critical hit resilience due to fire typing, tera type matches base type, great HP, excellent def and spatk stats resists leaf storm and leaf blade, iron defense buffs 2 def stages. calm mind buffs 1 spatk stage and 1 spdef stage. acid spray lowers spdef 2 stages through shield while charging tera orb. twisted spoon gives 1.2x damage boost to psychic attacks. stored power has a base power of 20 + 20 * # of positive stages. this comes out to 380 at +6 spatk/spdef/def. with twisted spoon, tera-boosted STAB, spdef debuffs, and spatk buffs factored in, it has an effective power of 14,592.

Cons: tera type not supereffective. outsped by sceptile. no reliable healing.
