Aussie investors today weighed up a positive lead from the US, with the latest batch of company trading updates. In response, our benchmark share index, the ASX 200, closed today up by 27 points or 0.4%. Seven of 11 industry sectors rose with energy doing the best. In economic news, business turnover (or sales) rose by a modest 0.3% in March. Annual increases were posted for 11 of 13 published sectors. And the Aussie dollar is firmer against the greenback, now changing hands near 66.1 US cents.
