Yesterday, Azure App Service added .NET 10 Preview support for both Windows and Linux platforms. .NET 10 Preview includes C# 14 language enhancements such as extension members that enable extending types with properties and static members, the new `field` keyword for simplified property accessors, null-conditional assignment operators, and improved Span implicit conversions. Azure App Service is a fully managed platform-as-a-service that enables developers to build, deploy, and scale web apps quickly, supporting multiple programming languages and frameworks with built-in CI/CD, security, and monitoring capabilities.

Yesterday, Visual Studio released the August update (v17.14) in general availability. The update brings GPT-5 support, Model Context Protocol (MCP) general availability with OAuth support and one-click server installation, smarter Copilot Chat with improved code search, unified debugging for Unreal Engine Blueprint and native code, and bring-your-own-model support. Visual Studio is Microsoft's integrated development environment for building applications across platforms and languages.
