In this video, we look at a vw tiguan tsi, with the 2.0tsi ea888 engine. It came in with a check engine light and a vast oil leak under the vehicle. The check engine light turned out to be a system too lean code, which we carried out a smoke test of the inlet and breather system to find smoke coming out the bellhousing of the gearbox! We raised the vehicle on the hoist and found the oil leak to be coming from the rear main seal too, along with a failed vacuum pump. Just more examples of the issues found with these tsi engines!
