A field-programmable gate array is an integrated circuit designed to be configured by a customer or a designer after manufacturing – hence the term "field-programmable". The FPGA configuration is generally specified using a hardware description language, similar to that used for an application-specific integrated circuit.

The goal of this presentation is to provide a basic overview of #FPGA and lays the foundation for further exploration on the subject for developers that need to evaluate hardware and network providers that need to monitor networks in real-time.

Here you'll explore how FPGA can be used, how it's built and - provided you have sound knowledge of HDL and VHDL languages - learn how to generate a bitstream code to an FPGA.
