Microsoft Ignite 2023 - Creating your own ChatGPT experience with enterprise data: Q&A

Using Azure OpenAI Service and Azure Cosmos DB's built-in support for vector search, KPMG Australia built KymChat, a PC and mobile digital assistant for employees. In July, they introduced the KPMG KymChat Accelerator, a product that enables customers to accelerate their adoption of generative AI. The KPMG Australia team that built KymChat will discuss how they designed and deployed the app, architecture decisions, and why they chose Azure Cosmos DB as the KymChat database.

Mark Brown: Microsoft Principal PM Manager - Azure Cosmos DB
Mark is a 23-year Microsoft veteran and has worked on a number of products and services including, Windows Mobile, Bing Maps and Microsoft’s Web Platform & Tools Team on open-source web technologies. Mark has been on Azure since 2011 and has worked on Azure Web Apps Service, Redis Cache, Azure Networking and now Azure Cosmos DB. Mark is passionate about distributed systems and databases, cloud computing and helping developers build scalable applications using Azure Cosmos DB.

James Codella: Microsoft Senior Product Manager
James is a PM for Azure Cosmos DB working on AI and the query engine. He has a B.S. and an M. Eng. from Cornell University and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in Operations Research. He currently lives near NYC with his wife and puppy.

Marko Hotti: Microsoft Sr. Technical Product Manager
Marko started his IT career as an Oracle DBA, worked at Oracle Finland, and he's been a Microsoft employee for 18 years. He's passionate about technology and solutions across Data & AI. Marko is currently the Technical Product Marketing Manager for Azure Cosmos DB & Intelligent Apps.
