Hiking Split Rock Trail in Joshua Tree National Park with Kids

Описание к видео Hiking Split Rock Trail in Joshua Tree National Park with Kids

Split Rock Trail in Joshua Tree National Park is a trail that goes past beautiful rock formations. The start/end of the trail is defined by a large round rock that has a flat cut down the middle, hence the name.

The trail is a 2-mile loop trail that’s mostly flat, with some mild inclines. There are parts of shade, though most of the trail is in the sun. There are a few other trails that diverge from the loop trail, so be sure to download a map before heading out. But for an easier excursion, you could also just look at the split rock and walk a short distance and head back.

The trail is located towards the east end of the park, on a short road called "Split Rock" right off of the main Park Blvd that runs through the national park. There is a small parking lot at the head of the trail, but there are no bathrooms, so be sure to go at another location before starting on this trail.
