United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk on Monday condemned senior Israeli officials for openly employing "genocidal rhetoric" against Palestinians and called on the international community to take action to end the mass killings of civilians.

Turk, speaking at the 60th session of the Human Rights Council, which takes place from Sept. 8 to Oct. 8 in Geneva, said that Israel has continued to commit war crimes, causing famine, serious casualties, and mass destruction.
