DeLonghi Dedica with naked portafilter - How to

In this view I want to show how to make a naked portafilter to be used with the DeLonghi Dedica E685(0). I ordered a replacement one to be able to use the pressurised filters with coarser coffee shall I ever need to. The filter size if 51mm so make sure you get the correct one.

The whole process took less than 20 minutes and I'm not particularly handy with a saw. I didn't cut at the filter height as I probably would have damaged the portafilter. I can always do that later with a better tool. It also has no influence on the taste but it does allow you to see better what's going on with the extraction.

Dialing in the espresso shot is the key and make sure you use a good grinder. I'm using the Ceado E5P and love it.
