Installing the DC88 OR DC182P Contactor Pack, replacing our old Warn winch solenoids.

This install took us a couple of hours, it's a pretty straight forward installation, especially with the included wiring diagram. We found the trickiest part was identifying which cables did what, which we go through with you in this video, as well as tips and tricks throughout, and how to achieve a good sturdy connection when you're wiring.

For this install you'll ideally need to use imperial tools to remove the solenoids (though you can manage with metric) including 11/32 socket or spanner for removing the solenoid studs. You'll also need wire cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, 6.3mm spade terminals, and M8 contact stud terminals, and we also recommend using heat shrink and a heat gun (or small blow torch) to cover your connecting terminals.

Bigger than anything that has gone before it, the DC182P series of extra heavy duty solenoids is the perfect match for competition winches with high current draw. With 50% more power handling capacity than it’s predecessors, this is the solenoid to have if you are looking for ultimate reliability. One Albright contactor is needed to replace the solenoid pack on standard winches.
