James Joseph Croce, "Jim" was an American folk and rock singer. Over the course of his career, he released five studio albums and several hit singles such as "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown", "Time in a Bottle" and "Operator". On September 20, 1973, Jim Croce, along with his friend, and guitar player Maury Muehleisen were killed in a plane crash in Natchitoches, Louisiana. They had just finished a concert at Northwestern State University's Prather Coliseum.
