Podbaba Transport Heritage Series: Blackpool Trams & Buses in 1992

Описание к видео Podbaba Transport Heritage Series: Blackpool Trams & Buses in 1992

Welcome to Podbaba Transport Heritage Series. We are now in 1992.

We start with "bang line" working between Cleveleys and Little Bispham in March.
At Fleetwood Ferry, we see the VIKING TRADER Ro-Ro ferry in action. We also see Ash Street, before Fisherman's Walk.
At Pleasure Beach, we see a glimpse of the monorail and see a tram crossing the crossover.
Towards the end we ride down the lights on 706 and we see many of the trams in action at night including the illuminated feature cars.
In the depot, 723 is stripped ready for new underframe and then repanel and repaint and we see the two Birkenhead cars (69 and 70) built in Hong Kong.
We finish with track relaying at Little Bispham with trams using the loop and leaving by the north spur - very rare indeed. Note how close the centenary cars come to the specially painted yellow traction pole!
All trams now sport pantographs with the exception of the boats, though two of them - 602 & 604 have pantographs fitted.
715 is seen in 1980s livery at the beginning and by the end is in the 1990s colour scheme.
637 loses its redundant COCOs advert, seen at the beginning, for a coulurful livery for Yates' Wine Lodges.
706's advert has changed to Gala Bingo.
644 gains a new allover advert for Bispham & Cleveleys Kitchens and runs alongside omo car 10 in the same livery.
647 loses its 42nd Street advert for a new design for Buddy - the musical.
606 keeps its blue and yellow scheme but now advertises Family Kitchen.
All of the Progress Twincars are now in 1990s livery with pantographs.
