In 2017 and 2018 we have had the exciting experience of hatching eggs at Lyonsdown School. Our eggs arrived at school in March and were kept in an incubator. Everyone wondered "How many would hatch?" Amazingly they all did and some hatching was caught on camera and we were thrilled to see 8 healthy chicks. Plenty of science work came out of our experience with having the chicks at school over the following weeks and how quickly our chicks grew. You can see how active they are and how their wings have developed by the end of this film that shows them at different stages throughout their time with us. We all took photos and lots of fun and interesting investigations developed from having our lovely fluffy visitors. Some chicks are now with someone connected with Lyonsdown and we hope to see photographs of them as they grow. We wonder how many eggs they will lay?
