We often only fully appreciate what we have once it’s gone. I wanted this song to capture the feeling of wanting something you had before or longing for a certain feeling you once felt.

The lyrics describe a relationship that has gone through cycles of closeness and distance. With a hope of reconciliation and a fresh start to reignite disappeared or vanished feelings, the song also expresses resistance caused by reasons provided to separate in the earlier times of the relationship. After dealing with previous challenges, and separations, when time has passed, sorries are said, new promises are made and the two people acknowledge the growth they've experienced during their time apart, they are ready to open up to their partner once more.
