Freccia IFV: Italy's World's Leading Infantry Fighting Vehicle

The Italian Army currently operates a fleet of more than 300 Freccia infantry fighting vehicles, a joint product of the Iveco DV Company and Oto Melara. The Freccia IFV has been serving in the Italian Army since 2006. Although the firepower is not too powerful, in return it provides comfort and a good level of protection.

In fact, the Freccia is an improved variant of the Centauro wheeled tank destroyer fitted with the Hitfist turret, which is armed with an Oerlikon KBA 25mm autocannon.
