Just OP-1 Field , TX-6… and some ambient music.

In this video, I want to share with you one of the pieces of equipment that has inspired me the most and made me so happy to own: the OP-1 Field by Teenage Engineering. This device is an endless source of creativity, allowing me to capture ideas and generate new ones constantly. Here, I'm using its internal tape and sampler-based sounds, all played live so you can hear its full potential.

The samplers on the OP-1 Field are one of the reasons I love it so much. There are “two samplers”: one for taking a single sound and playing it with the keyboard, and another for chopping and creating sequences, which is not only useful for drum sounds but also as an advanced sampler where you can have a different stem for each note. You can sample from its stereo input, the radio, its internal microphone, or even resample its output. For me, having a high-quality internal mic is a game-changer. While I mainly use its input to sample instruments and sounds from my studio, the option to capture sounds with the mic is amazing. It makes the sampling process much faster and encourages more use.

Both samplers are excellent and come with all the necessary features: you can adjust pitch, set start and end points, loop, reverse sounds, and more. Plus, you have envelope, effects, and LFO pages for further tweaking.

I don't always have as much time as I'd like to play music, let alone share it. Sometimes it takes me a while to set up the recording, or I don't have it ready, or sometimes, I simply feel like I try to overcomplicate music or videos. Maybe it’s better not to overthink and just share something humble or simple, because, at the end of the day, it’s still music.
Today is one of those times—something more humble and simple.
