In this video I show you how I made a modern tartan dress to wear while I was traveling to Scotland. I used Vouge Pattern V9327 to create this dress which is a custom fit pattern. Of course I made some adjustments to the pattern, such as removing the cuffs.

I was a little worried after I made this outfit that it would be "too much." That I would stand out in a bad way, but then I told myself, oh well, this is me, and I should wear what I want to!

Also highly recommend making outfits for trips/life events. I made this outfit for our Scotland trip and had a lot of fun wearing it then, but then upon returning home I've continued to wear it. Wearing it always makes me happy because the outfit is infused with all of our wonderful memories from this incredible trip.
