The Create Clipping Mask functions like a Layer Mask by clipping the layer to the front. You can easily create a mask area with any layer that has transparent parts, such as a text layer.

This video uses Ver.25.6.0.

Gips Strategy: Make it transparent using a Neutral Color!
A Neutral Color is a color that does not affect the layers behind it. When the drawing mode is set to Screen, only the black drawing area, which is a Neutral Color, becomes transparent. Therefore, if you create a clipping mask on a text layer, the text area is transparent to show the image behind it.
