Hey, I’m Sylvia and my passion is community singing, and creating harmony. I’m so in love with this song by Xavier Rudd, and it was requested by someone in my Sing Again community choir, so I’ve recorded some harmonies as a learning resource. Thank you for your beautiful songs ‪@XavierRudd‬!
My group is more like a community song circle than a traditional choir: we don’t use sheet music, we learn harmonies by ear, and we don’t aim for perfection or performance - we just enjoy the connection of singing in harmony. My harmonies are somewhat improvised on the spot while I’m recording, and they are simply a guideline to follow, rather than prescribed or solid. I let the mistakes and creativity be there, because I feel it gives others permission to sing imperfectly.
