🎬 Remembrances of Gardena's Poker Godfather, Ernie Primm, and his gifts to the city of Gardena.
Primm harnessed the power of great public relations and generated plenty of goodwill in the suburban community of Gardena California by becoming the town's "go to" benefactor when it came to servicing the the city. It was an essential element in winning over the skeptical citizenry, who otherwise may have voted to abandon card clubs in favor of more "acceptable" local businesses like upscale department stores and big national chains.
Primm's involvement in civic affairs included the building of a local municipal swimming pool.
