Recording of the launch of Nested Phoenix , a bottom-up, parametric, spatialised and dynamic computer model with a python backend used to quantify the material stocks and flows of buildings and infrastructure assets, and their energy, greenhouse gas emissions and water use, across the embodied, operational and mobility-related dimensions, throughout their life cycle.

The launch even took place on the 20th of June 2023 at the UCLouvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. It was moderated by Dr. Damien Trigaux (KULeuven/VITO), and featured two keynote speakers, Dr. Verena Göswein (ETH Zurich/FREO Group), and A/Prof Alexander Hollberg (Chalmers University).

Nested Phoenix is led by A/Prof André Stephan and has involved a broad team of researchers throughout the years. The model shown here is the direct work of A/Prof André Stephan, Dr. Katarina Slavkovic, Ir. Gildas Mulders, and Arch. Roberto Bosco.
