Autocar ACX McNeilus Autoreach

Well this video is a little different from me purely because I filmed it yesterday and not a few months ago haha Its finals time in school so that means half days, so instead of studying, I went out to go find the trash/recycle truck in Suquamish. Trash was already completely done but recycle wasnt so I decided to look around before going out into the rural part of the route trying to find the trash driver. I was expecting the usual volvo wxll wittke bottom pack with carry can to show up but nope! Today it was a former Portland (portland area, most likely beaverton) autoreach! At first I thought that this was one of the new ASLs that they were getting but after talking with the driver and him saying hes had this for about a year I'm just gunna take a wild guess and say this isnt one of the new ASLs that theyre still getting in.

Even though this truck doesn't flip lids it is still one of the most entertaining autoreaches I've filmed. Really smooth operation. There's just something about it that really makes it entertaining. Whats really funny though, is even though this is a route that isnt even close to being automated friendly, this truck still finished the route faster than the usual carry can. Just shows how much faster ASL is. Not entirely sure what the ASL was doing here, maybe just seeing what it would take to make the route ASL compatible or maybe the driver was just filling in for the usual truck, I'm not sure. Either way though this was a surprise.

Sorry for my bad camera work. My tripod is thoroughly shot. Infact right after this I went to go visit the brem-air yard (they have 1 pete wittke and 3 wxll amrep msls left, at least thats what I saw) and go buy a new tripod so all of my new videos will be much better. They will also be from a higher angle than this since the tri-pod can reach much higher up which is really nice.
