How To Defend and Counter the One Two Punch Using Two Parries. Tom Yankello of the  @World Class Boxing Channel  is back with his third installment of how to defend and counter the one two punch. In prior videos, he showed you how to slip the one two punch with a smother and then he showed you how to slip it using the weave. In today's video, Tom Yankello shows you how to defend and counter the one two punch using two parries. Tom will teach you how to parry the jab and how to parry the right hand. If someone throws the one two, you will parry the jab with your opposite hand and then parry the right hand with your other hand. The parries will deflect the jab and the right hand. This puts you in the position to throw the left hook to the head. Umberto Soto and Julio Cesar Chavez were great at doing these moves. Tom then shows you how to practice these moves using the mitts. The parry gives you more time to come back with the left hook. You will beat your opponent to the punch because the parry gives you a little bit of extra time. Everything is timing and insight. You can slip the one two and come back with the left hook, but the parry can give you a little bit more time. This is a great way to defend and counter the one two punch.
