On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 6th Euroson POCUS School Vienna 2025, we wish to express our deepest appreciation for your participation in this year’s landmark event, held in Vienna on 29–30 August 2025.

🌍 Strategic and Educational Highlights
This edition was proudly organized by EUVEKUS (EADUS), endorsed by EFSUMB, and supported by WONCA Europe, WFUMB, and EACCME, under the coordination and academic leadership of Dr. Mihai Iacob, President of EUVEKUS and Founder of the Euroson POCUS School Vienna initiative.
The program aligned for the first time with the EURACT Leonardo Level 3 “Train the Trainers” (ToT) framework, positioning the School as a scalable model for training educators and building structured, competency-based ultrasound education in primary care.
We were especially honored by the presence and leadership of:

Together, they embodied the convergence of four leading institutions in ultrasound and family medicine—EFSUMB, WFUMB, WONCA Europe, and EUVEKUS—working to integrate clinical ultrasound into community-based and frontline care.

The School featured:
Over 30 expert-led presentations from 12 countries
Dedicated tracks in thoracic, abdominal, MSK, vascular, breast, pediatric, and E-FAST scanning
AI-enhanced diagnostic training and virtual simulation
Hands-on workshops for both Basic and Advanced levels
The “3-Minute Clinical Video Challenge” with live case-based expert interaction
National survey data on POCUS curriculum integration in Romania, Austria, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Hungary, and Malta
With over 100 attendees, including family physicians, internal medicine specialists, radiologists, and trainees, the 6th Edition reaffirmed the importance of POCUS as a standard of care and a vital skill for frontline clinicians.

🔬 Looking Ahead: SIG in Clinical Ultrasound
As part of our long-term vision, EUVEKUS is currently initiating a Special Interest Group (SIG) on Clinical Ultrasound in Primary Care, to be officially proposed within WONCA Europe at the WONCA World Conference in Lisbon, September 2025.
This SIG will:
Advance training standards in clinical ultrasound for GPs and family doctors
Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and educational research
Promote POCUS integration in policy and national curricula
This strategic direction is fully aligned with EFSUMB's mission to bring ultrasound education beyond tertiary centers and into community-based, patient-centered care.
