I had reserved a stay at the Lighthouse Inn on Quirpon (Carpoon) Island as a surprise trip for Marcy's 77th birthday. I made flight & car reservations which I was not too happy about because it limited the time we would have in Newfoundland. A week before departure, the first leg of our flight was cancelled. Looking at logistics, I decided we could drive, though its would be hard. 4 days over 1800 miles and a 7 hour ferry ride. We were 20 minutes late for the Zodiac out to the island, but they waited for us. Marcy, looking through a guidebook figured out where we were going about 3 hours before we got to the Zodiac.
