How I fit all that backpacking gear in my Osprey Exos 38: including bear canister

I know quite a few of you asked to see how I packed all that backpacking gear into my Osprey Exos 38. While I was out at Red River Gorge I did just that. Hope it's helpful for those of you looking to see exactly how I did it.

Just one note about this packing. My bear canister (BV500) was very light this trip (one night- 3 meals). What I'll do in the future when it's heavier for multiple days is put it a little lower in the pack to help distribute the weight better. Everything fit!

Someone in the comments mentioned that they had a friend who thru hiked the PCT with the Exos 38. I was skeptical that was doable until actually packing for this trip. It's more than achievable.
