Here is a very beat up but excellent sounding 1974 (maybe 1975 - the original pot before I replaced it was from 74). I am running it into my master-volume modded 1974 Marshall Superlead 100. Can't get any more classic rock than this :)

What I did to the pedal...
As mentioned I replaced the broken pot. The switch was also toast, so I made it true-bypass. I did this without any permanent changes, it could easily be made buffered bypass again. The replacement pot is a "hot potz" 100k as they seem to last a while.

The rest of the insides are stock, the old transistors, the paper-in-oil capacitors and old resistors. It has the Square TDK inductor, this one seems to sound really nice and musical, has a nice hump mid-sweep, you don't really need to move your foot far to get this thing to wack and quack.

One drawback is no DC input as old 70s pedals didn't have them. I thought about drilling it and putting in a jack and filtering circuit but decided against it, as long as you "remember" to unplug it, it lasts a long time :)
