Weihrauch HW97k Cleaning & Lubrication

I'm showing you the method I use to clean and lubricate my HW97k. I only recorded the cleaning of the receiver and piston tube as all the other stuff is pretty much self explanatory how to clean.

Weihrauch uses either too much or too little grease on their guns. Also, it is always good to examine the rifle for metal shavings inside because this will damage the internals and seals.

Every new HW I buy, I usually do a take down (to examine for any litter that doesn't belong inside) - and complete lubrication job.

This way I get a decent greased airgun with peace of mind that it is indeed free of metal shavings and or splinters. I already found metal remains inside of HW guns in a new HW95 and again in this gun. Usually metal splinters can be found around the end piece where the trigger mechansim is located and if you are unlucky, in the grease of the compression chamber.
