Do you have kids and wonder if it is worth it to take them to an amusement park? Theme parks can be quite a challenge with children, but we are here to help you plan out the perfect day at a park!

In this video, we traveled to Michigan’s Adventure in Muskegon, Michigan. This Cedar Fair park is located on Michigan’s west side near Lake Michigan. This is a smaller amusement park that is perfect for a quick day of excitement!

This park has a BRAND NEW Camp Snoopy area that just opened this year. It is a fantastic spot for kids to enjoy some thrills. There are roller coasters, a playground, spinning rides and more!

Right when you enter the park there is a Coaster’s Diner. There are several other restaurants scattered throughout the park. The problem we had is that many of the restaurants were either closed or short staffed! This lead to many long lines and some unhappy and hungry park goers. In the end we were able to eat, but it was definitely something that took time!

Let’s talk rides! This park does not have many thrilling roller coasters - so if that is what you are looking for, you will likely be a bit disappointed. There are a few coasters like Thunderhawk that will help fill your thrill cravings. This park is best at it’s kid’s rides! They have so many fantastic things for kids to do.

If you are looking to cool off, the water park is phenomenal!! We love this water park as it has everything you could need without being overwhelming. We took a nice float in the lazy river and got sprayed with water in the splash pad!

We recommend this park for grandparents to take their kids for the day as it is a smaller park and doesn’t involve a lot of walking. Looking for a zoo alternative? This is also a great day trip!
