As always, I want to practise what I preach and get out of my comfort zone and try something different so I’m heading into central London to try some fiery hot southern Thai food at Plaza Khao Gaeng.

I was pretty shocked with how authentically spicy the Thai food is here. We are talking real fiery! The southern Thai food at Plaza Khao Gaeng is as close to anything I've had in Thailand as you could get and that's the biggest compliment I could give the team here.

For me this is easily the best Thai food I've had in London and it's all cooked by farang!

I had the Deep South Menu which is £35 a head and includes Miang Phuket, Nam Chup Khai Jiew Cha Om, Gaeng Massaman Neua, Gung Pad Sator Sai Gapi, Tiger prawns with sator beans, Nakorn Si shrimp paste and chilli, Gaeng Som Tom Yam, Pak Bung Fai Daeng, Khai Dow and Khao Hom Mali Rice.

I also ordered Kua Kling Muu and Pad Ped Pla which are £12.50 and £15.50 respectively.
