Black salt paddy: काला नमक धान की खेती से लाखों कमाइए, सरकार दे रही है खेती को बढ़ावा

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी ने काला नमक चावल महोत्सव का आयोजन किया. महोत्सव में योगी ने कहा कि 'एक जिला-एक उत्पाद योजना’ आने के बाद काला नमक धान की बुवाई काफी बढ़ गई है। यूपी सरकार काला नमक चावल को सिद्धार्थनगर जिले के उत्पाद के रूप में ब्रांडिंग कर रही है। वैसे तो काला नमक चावल अब सिर्फ भारत ही नहीं बल्कि पूरी दुनिया में लोकप्रिय हो गया है, लेकिन अभी भी बहुत से ऐसे लोग हैं, जिन्हें काला नाम चावल के बारे में या तो बहुत कम पता है या पता ही नहीं है। आइए जानते हैं क्या खास है इस चावल में और क्या है इसकी कीमत।
कैसे पड़ा ये इस चावल का नाम 'काला नमक चावल' : काला नामक चावल भारत के सबसे शानदार क्वालिटी वाले चावलों में से एक है। इसका नाम काला नमक चावल इसलिए पड़ा है क्योंकि इसका धान काले रंग का होता है यानी इसकी भूसी का रंग काला होता है। हालांकि, इसका चावल सफेद रंग का ही होता है। इस चावल से एक खुशबू भी आती है, जिसकी वजह से इसे यूपी का खुशबू वाला काला मोती भी कहा जाता है। काला नामक चावल की खेती आज से नहीं, बल्कि बौद्ध काल से की जा रही है। पूर्वी यूपी के हिमालयन तराई इलाके में इसकी खूब खेती होती है। इस चावल को न सिर्फ देश में बल्कि दुनिया में प्रसिद्धि मिली हुई है। यूनाइटेड नेशन्स के फूड एंड एग्रिकल्चर ऑर्गेनाइजेशन ने दुनिया भर के शानदार चावलों पर लिखी अपनी किताब स्पेशियलिटी राइसेस ऑफ द वर्ल्ड में भी यूपी के काला नमक चावल का जिक्र किया है।

How was this rice named 'Kala Namak Rice': Rice called Kala is one of the most excellent quality rice in India. It is named black salt rice because its paddy is black, that is, the color of its husk is black. However, its rice is white in color. This rice also brings a fragrance, due to which it is also called the black pearl of fragrance of UP. The rice called Kala is not being cultivated today, but from the Buddhist period. It is cultivated extensively in the Himalayan Terai region of eastern UP. This rice has gained fame not only in the country but also in the world. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has also mentioned the black salt rice of UP in its book Specialty Races of the World, written on the glorious rice around the world.
