Despite the regulatory overhang, the company’s fundamentals remain 'Golden' in a traditional sense—operating margins exceeding 80%, zero debt, and a return on equity (RoE) that remains the envy of the utility sector. The current management shift focuses on 'Energy as a Service,' integrating carbon credit trading and international cross-border trade with nations like Nepal and Bhutan, positioning IEX not just as a domestic exchange but as a regional energy hub for South Asia.
