Qi Tian Gong Temple

is a lovely aberration from the hip vibe of the Tiong Bahru area. The temple is dedicated to the ‘monkey god’, considered to be one of the most mischievous, mercurial deities in Taoist mythology. There are more than 10 statues of the ‘monkey god’ in the temple, and one is almost a century old. Dating back to 1920, the original site of the temple was an attap hut (thatched roofs made from palm fronds). It moved to the current location in 1938. Walk through the premises, mingling with devotees from all parts of the world asking for blessings.
