Khanzada Asfandyar Khattak is a an artist and a unique character of Khyber Pashtunkhwa Region of Pakistan. Asfandyar belongs to a noboe family and is descendent of Pashtun ruler Khoshal Khan Khattak. Asfandyar Chose a very unconventional hobby of kathak Dance and wear the bells “ghunghroo” to portray his message of love peace and progress in his war and extremism ridden region.

Asfandyar perform a type of a fusion of two south Asian Dances: Khattak Dance and Kathak Dance.

Kathak is one of the eight major classical dance forms of India, with origins tracing back to the ancient temples and courts of North India. While Khattak Dance is a traditional Pashtun dance from the Khattak tribe in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region of Pakistan.

Kathak dance is characterized by its intricate footwork, precise rhythmic patterns, spins, and expressive gestures. Kathak dancers often tell stories through their movements, using facial expressions and hand gestures (mudras) to convey emotions and narratives. The dance is performed by both men and women and typically features elaborate costumes, including a long flowing skirt for women and a kurta-pyjama for men. Accompanied by classical Indian music, Kathak performances can range from solo acts to large ensembles.
