The Story of the Bastion of the Penitent

"A thief. A gambler. A drunk. This is who Saul D’Alessio was. A man who gambled himself into debt and found the best way to relieve that debt to be stealing from others. Eventually caught, Saul was exiled from Kryta. Blindfolded and escorted for three full weeks deep into the wilderness. Saul was left to fend for himself.

In the wake of the Bloodstone’s explosion, Scholar Glenna discovered a strange portal that had appeared in Bloodstone Fen. Remembering the group of adventurers who had assisted her in the rescue mission turn full-on assault in the Forsaken Thicket, Glenna called upon them to investigate this mysterious portal. Upon entering through the portal, the group looked at their surroundings. A cavern with lush foliage falling down the cliff faces and a heavy waterfall in the distance. The adventurers were able to discern that they are deep in the Woodland Cascades. An expansive forest that covered much of the land north of Kryta. Nearby, Glenna stood awaiting the adventurers."

The Bastion of the Penitent is the 2nd raid and 4th raid wing introduced into Guild Wars 2, introduced alongside Living World Season 3, Episode 4: The Head of the Snake. With its in Bloodstone Fen via a magical portal or a second entrance located in the Lion's Arch Aerodrome, adventurers are able to assist Scholar Glenna in learning more about this forsaken place. There are many secrets to discover and truths to uncover. Join me, as we explore this twisted place.

The raid bosses included in this video are Cairn the Indomitable, Mursaat Overseer, Samarog, and Deimos.

This raid wing is wing four, commonly referred to as w4.

Honestly, I am very proud of this video. I learned a lot from my Forsaken Thicket story video and directly applied that to this video.
