Second instalment of happenings in Charleston. We visited a swamp preserve and took a paddle boat trip (didn't see any alligators). Back in town we visited the Aiken-Rhett house, which is an "preserved-in-place" or unrestored mansion from the 1900s, complete with slave quarters out the back. We took a cruise around the harbour to see the sights, and on our final morning we accidentally visited Fort Moultrie (looking for somewhere to park along the waterfront, have a National Park pass so free entry - worth the visit though!)
