History has demonstrated that societies that "register guns" also confiscate those legally owned firearms at a later date. A few notable examples include Hitler, Stalin and dozens of other dictators across the globe. Disarming the law-abiding masses provides no security. I remind you the 2nd amendment is specific about the right to keep and bear arms. This amendment was specifically added because the founding fathers knew that when citizens are disarmed tyranny will follow.

Do not fall prey to emotion and think that new laws impacting law abiding will prevent horrible acts of violence. Rather we need to focus resources on treating the mentally ill, and reducing the glorification violence in games and movies.
