Something a little different this week. I breakdown and teach a solo I composed as part of some session work I did a while back. I think it makes for a good example of how to craft melodic and tasteful ideas out of just a handful of simple ingredients.
This was a singer-songwriter, Americana, Country-pop type of vibe and needed something minimal but emotive for the solo. As always, I like to provide the producer with a few alternate options.. we go through a couple of those in this lesson too.
So get that tele dialled in with a lovely clean tone.. chuck some reverb and trem at it and join me for a lesson in turning the basics into something immediately musical!
