There is a noticeable buzz and hiss, but this video is just a quick system test of some newly acquired gear. We’ve had a very clean Roland Jupiter 6 with the Europa mod for some years now, but it wasn’t getting enough use and I never really got into MIDI. So we traded the JP6 for some different equipment. We sold our Roland SH 101 a year or two ago and regretted it, so we got this one, to use on its own, or to sequence or play other synths. Here the SH 101 is playing an arpeggio, clocked by the Roland System 100 Model 102 expander, which gets its pitch CV from the SH 101. The SH 101 runs through the Univox PHZ-1 phaser into the Korg SE-500 Stage Echo into the Univox U3R spring reverb, where the washy 101 signal is joined by the pluckier 102 signal.
